Recycling of E-Waste
Since there is no e-waste facility available in Yellowknife, this program avoided over 100,000 kg of electronic waste going into the city dump and is regarded as a “best practice” program for keeping material, often potentially toxic, out of landfill sites. In 2008 we received a certificate of appreciation from the City of Yellowknife for our outstanding efforts in recycling.
